And just recently, new evidence has surfaced, causing Maggie to wonder whether or not her parents' deaths on Harcourt property were purely accidental.
Nathaniel Harcourt has come home to rebuild relationships with his family; his father is gravely ill and his stepmother and half sister have requested that he return to Morningside Manor. Running into one of his dearest childhood friends upon arrival, Nate is puzzled by Maggie Lounsbury's curt, shuttered reaction to becoming reacquainted. On the other hand, Nate has more on his mind than lovely villagers, he stands to inherit a vast estate and lucrative family business, whose employees are becoming increasingly disgruntled and threatening to strike. But upon his deathbed, Nate's father forces him to mend bridges with Maggie Harcourt, if she will just let him know where to start.
Carrie Turansky has penned a story that is filled with sage advice and deep spiritual wisdom; gently guiding her readers alongside two characters who gradually learn to put faith in the place of their fears, hope in the place of their doubts; love in the place of their suspicions; navigating through their troubled past, in order to embrace God's plans for their future, plans that will truly "shine like the dawn".
