Summary
Overall Richelle Mead's Vampire Academy series is my favorite among that genre (and, believe me, I read them all and loved them). This one brings together vampire royalty and their guardians, one such paring being Rose and Lissa at their school, appropriately names St. Vladimir’s Academy. In this story, every vampire is gifted with a special power. It just so happens that Lissa can heal, which comes in handy as this book is chalked full of danger for all characters involved. To complicate things, sparks fly between Rose, Lissa’s guardianintraining, and Dimitri, her trainer who is graced with godlike gorgeousness but is also her superior and several years older than her. The question is will Rose be able to protect Lissa if she is distracted by her desire for Dimitri? Furthermore, will Dimitri even give up his trepidation about their ages and roles long enough to allow the chance for a relationship to bloom? Review by Noti.
