Summary
Overall KC Protector is a romantic suspense novel by Julie Miller and is part of the Precinct series. Having not read the other books in the series, I did not have
any issues following along. There are several secondary characters that you assume have had their own stories. George is the Deputy Commissioner. Elise is his executive assistant who keeps his work life running smoothly. When someone starts terrorizing her he is compelled to help investigate. He realizes he has been off the streets so long that he needs to call in help. Several harassing things start happening and she is not sure if someone from her past has returned or if someone is using her to get to George. It is not your typical boss/assistant romance. George uses his intelligence as much as his brawn. I found the underlying storyline of the unusual heat in
KC increasing the tension and crime in the city to be interesting. After losing my air conditioning one time I believe that to be true. I m excited to look for more books by Julie Miller.
Violence Someone is terrorizing Elise
