Summary
Overall Cowboy behind the badge is book two in the Sweetwater Ranch series. We met the brother Cooper in book one. This book takes place not too much later and continues with a different baby theme. Texas Ranger Tucker McKinnon is the Cowboy Behind the Badge. He finds Laine, a sweetheart from his past, in his kitchen with two newborns. As in the last story this one also has a secondary storyline of the underlying case of Cooper/Tucker's mother having killed a man. This man happens to be Laine’s dad. This is what tore them apart many years ago. However the tension is immediate when they are back together. I am enjoying the series and you feel like you get to know the
whole family. The books do stand alone but I recommend reading all of them. For a series romantic suspense there is a lot of action and a lot of bullets flying. We also have a lot of suspects. I feel like these stories are leading us up to Rosalie story. I cannot wait for her story.
Violence Someone is killing people and trying to get the newborns.
Language
Sexual one physical scene.
