Summary
I could only rate this at three stars for a few reasons: there seemed to be a lot of telling and not showing in the writing. There were several instances that I just thought, \"Alright. I see her reaction but WHY did she react like that?\" It was like \"MT\" did this and then she did this and then another character did this. There was also an excessive use of the exclamation point. Almost every other spoken line ended with an exclamation point, and I finally couldn\'t get behind the strong emotion that the author was trying to convey. Each chapter is put as an \"Episode\" and that is an apt way to put it. Each section seemed like a scene for a TV show. It was also written in the third person present tense (verbs such as brings, says, does, etc) which I don\'t see all that often and I have to admit I\'m not a big fan of. So, overall I\'m not a huge fan.
Violence This is an action adventure book, and the action scenes are described in detail.
Language The main character was a soldier, and vulgar words are used in conjunction with how bad the situation is getting.
Sexual One scene where two characters have sex. Its not graphic but enough to bring a blush to my face.
Drug & Alcohol Alcohol use by several characters in moderate amounts.
