Summary
This is my first book by Kathleen, who happens to live in AR too. I was able to meet Kathleen at ICRS and receive a copy of the book. I was excited to see that several scenes from Flora’s Wish were set in the Crescent Hotel in Eureka Springs, AR. This is the first book in the Secret Lives of Will Tucker. Flora is an interesting character. She is looking for her fifth fiancé as the other four have met an untimely death. She must marry and provide an heir to get her inheritance before she turns 30. This is important to her s that she can provide for Violet. Lucas is a Pinkerton investigator who is investigating Will and has a few secrets of his own. The first scene where Lucas and Flora meet was very entertaining. Their relationship developed at a nice pace throughout the book. His inventions came to their rescue more than once. I was excited to see that Kyle, Lucas’ Pinkerton partner gets his own book. There was a good mystery sprinkled in as to if the fiance’s were dying of natural causes. I recommend this book and will be reading more books by Kathleen Y'boro
Violence-There is more danger than violence. There are discussions of how her fiances died.
Sexual-There is hugging and kissing. I was pleased to see that Flora takes some initiative in this department.
