Summary
I was a little hesitant to read a book about the Amazon as I didn’t think I would find it interesting, but I am a fan of Margaret Daley. I am glad I gave the book a chance. Although the book does occur in the Amazon Margaret did a great job of developing the characters and the relationship between Kate and Slader. Kate is determined to find her brother, Zach, who has been missing in the Amazon for 6 weeks. She is your typically Prim and Proper church secretary... literally. She has been told that Slader is the best person to help her find Zach in the Amazon. Zach has been in the Amazon for the last 6 years, hiding from life and God. Kate decides she now has two missions; find Zach and help Slader find his way. I loved it when he revealed his full name... I would not have guessed it. The epilogue was a great way to wrap up the book too.
Violence-They have people coming after them as they are in the jungle. Nothing disturbing.
