Summary
To Save Her Child by Margaret Daly starts with a great opening scene that had me holding my breath. It also had a surprise outcome for me which I always enjoy. Josiah is a great hero. He has retired from the Marines and is dealing with PSTD and has a service dog, Buddy that he has also trained for search and rescue. This is how he met Ella as she works for Northern Frontier Search & Rescue. She has run from her own past issues and is starting to be comfortable in her new life. Her son Robbie was adorable and your heart just broke for him and some of the situations he had to deal with. Robbie goes missing from his summer camp. Josiah and Buddy head out to find him. It is every mom’s worse nightmare. Ella is terrified and concerned that her ex-husband has finally found them. This story was set in Alaska and included some interesting and entertaining information about the state. The secondary characters were enjoyable too. I am hoping that Josiah's twin sister, Alex gets her own story next. I recommend To Save Her Child if you enjoy a good clean romantic suspense that keeps you on the edge of your seat. It is a bonus to animal lovers to have Buddy.
