Despite the tumor-shrinking medical miracle that has bought her a few years, Hazel has never been anything but terminal, her final chapter inscribed upon diagnosis. But when a gorgeous plot twist named Augustus Waters suddenly appears at Cancer Kid Support Group, Hazel’s story is about to be completely rewritten.
Insightful, bold, irreverent, and raw, The Fault in Our Stars brilliantly explores the funny, thrilling, and tragic business of being alive and in love.

Summary
I usually make it my goal to read whatever books are the most popular in the teen fiction genre, and this summer The Fault In Our Stars was at the top of my list. It's one of the most talked-about books of the summer. When I read it, I could immediatly see why. \"Kids with cancer\" is a much-explored topic that I usually find depressing and tedious. Main character is terminally ill with cancer, she learns a big lesson, comes to terms with her impending death, then they die. This book was different. The witty, sarcastic narrator, Hazel, comes into the story and promptly informs us this isn't a cancer book because \"Cancer books suck.\" The whole story, which is fairly depressing, is taken in stride. I enjoyed the occasional moments of contemplation over life's big questions-who am I? Why am I here? because they weren't incessantly pondered. The romance was also sweet without being overdone and exaggerated. Hazel's smarts and maturity made for an enjoyable narrative and the ending while tragic, was handled with poise. I thought this was an excellent book and should be required reading for every teen.
Language-Sometimes they let things slip but it wasn't too bad. I can't remember a lot of crude language.
Sexual-The whole thing was very tasteful and not described in detail. There were a few dirty jokes made though.
Drug & Alcohol-There was a character who was alcoholic but he was portrayed as pathetic due to his dependency.
