In Angola State Penitentiary, a man is serving time for a crime he didn’t commit. Riley Baxter is an eager reporter desperate for a story to make a name for herself. Summary
This is my first book by this author and I enjoyed it. I am typically not a fan of journalism characters but this one was satisfying. There are several storylines playing out and they are easy to follow; Emily, the drunk driver who killed Rafe and Riley’s parents, is Jasmine’s dad innocent, who is the killer and who is trying to kill Riley. The author creates fascinating characters, lighthearted moments and keeps you guessing until the end. In addition, to the suspense and romance, it is a thought provoking story of faith and forgiveness. The relationships between Riley and Hayden and the siblings . I will now go back and read Rafe and Remington’s story and looking forward to Maddie’s.
