Summary
Overall Burning Lamp is the second book in the Dreamlight series. Book one is Fired Up written under Jayne Ann Krentz. The books can be read alone or as a series. The Dreamlight series is about the two founders of the Arcane Society and their long running feud. In the Burning Lamp we meet Adelaide who is a rather unusual heroine. She
was sold to a brothel after her parents die. The opening chapter is how she escapes. I truly enjoyed her social reform crusades and her past escapades from the wild west in America. Griffin Winters is our hero who also happens to be a notorious crime lord. He is being plagued by nightmares and needs Adelaide and the lamp to keep himself from going mad. Fans of the series will be pleased to see that Caleb and Lucinda assist Adelaide and Griffin.
Violence There is some violence and some deaths. Nothing I found disturbing.
Language
Sexual Sex occurs but not graphic details.
Drug & Alcohol I think there was some drinking nothing that stood out.
