Summary
Overall Hawk is not a light read. There is a reason Ronie calls this Rapid Fire Fiction. It will take your full concentration and will have your stomach in knots. I was up till midnight on a work night because I had to finish it. Hawk is fighting both the terrorist and his own demons. From page to page you are not sure if he can beat
either of them. Staff Sergeant Brian “Hawk” Bledsoe is a communications specialist on the Raptor team. I found his military role and his extraordinary skills fascinating. Not many men are sensitive to being called smart. You may remember Fekiria from Raptor. She is D’s cousin. Admittedly I was frustrated with Fekiria several times because
she was just mean to Hawk. I assumed the author was trying to show us that he would still hold his ground even when she was hateful. I just wanted to slap her. The
secondary storyline with Mitch and Sienna back on the home front was touching and heartwarming. It really makes you realize what these men and women are dealing with as they defend our freedom. I really liked Hawk; the book and the man. However, the highlight of the entire book was the two very small scenes with Candyman!!!! Thank
you Ronie!! He is still my book boyfriend. I recommend the book and the series if you like action packed military storylines.
Violence I didn't think this one was as violent as Raptor 6. However it is a war and there are casualties.
