Certain he will not love again, Everard Wulfrith has committed his life to the command of Wulfen Castle. But when the girl whose betrayal he can never forgive appears to him as a grown woman and demands he atone for his sins, can he lay bare his past to aid her nephew? And what of his unexpected feelings for the scandalous Susanna de Balliol whose indiscretions may very well put his own to shame?

Summary
The Longing, Book Five of the Age of Faith series by Tamera Leigh is the final novel of the series. As with each of its predecessors, the novel tells the story of the Wulfrith family in general, but one of the five siblings specifically. The focus of this novel is Everard Wulfrith. As each of the two other Wulfrith brothers have surrendered their hearts to marriage, It has fallen primarily to Everard to carry on with the training of young men seeking to become knights. Wulfen Castle is known throughout Europe as the location of the preeminent knight-training school. Everard is as passionate as the other two brothers regarding his life path of training young men, and he stalwartly upholds the Wulfen Castle rule of \"no females\"…until Lady Susanna de Balliol arrives seeking asylum for herself, her nephew Judas, and their knight, Sir Elias. Tamera Leigh is masterful at creating a plot line with numerous twists and turns, and this last novel of the series is no exception. The title, The Longing, is perfect considering the events that unfold. I like that the series builds one novel upon the other, thus, you will best enjoy this offering if you have read the previous four. And when you finish the final novel, Everard\'s story, you will wish there were more Wulfrith siblings to tell stories of…at least I did. Mayhap, there will be other stories forthcoming in a new series about the children of the Wulfrith siblings. One can hope!
