Summary
Hope Harbor Providence seems to be the key word in this story from Irene Hannon. I have been a huge fan of her romantic suspense books and her family drama books are just as captivating. In Hope Harbor we meet Michael, who has taken a leave of absence to escape his past and try to find answers. Michael meets several residences of Hope Harbor that make an impact on his life. Annie who is the town recluse becomes his landlord much to the surprise of her, Michael and the town. Annie\'s story is secondary but just as moving. Tracy meets Michael by ‘accident’. She loves Hope Harbor and working on their third generation cranberry farm. I found this very interesting because I used to visit a cranberry farm in the northeast when I would visit my cousin. I could visualize the cranberry bogs. I learned several new interesting facts about cranberry farming. Tracy convinces Michael to help with the churches struggling charitable organization which opens up opportunities for them to spend time together. The more time they are together the more they realize they may have feelings for each other and neither one of them plan for that. As a result of each of their pasts, they are hesitant to delve into another relationship. I liked how they did not keep their past a secret from each other. They both shared their stories. Michael realizes his trip is turning out nothing like he planned. Instead of finding answers he has more questions. I think you will enjoy the story and be moved by how the characters Charlie is a secondary character that we\'ve throughout the whole story and could get his own book.. You will feel like you\'ve met the whole town. It\'s very easy to separate the characters and their stories.
