Summary
Bride of Pretense was written by sister team Amanda Tru and Cami Wesley. I am a HUGE fan of Amanda Tru. I have loved all her books. Bride of Pretense is a historical western Christian romantic comedy. The story is about two women; Adelaide is the rich girl on her way to her arranged marriage that she is not looking forward to. Charlotte is the mail order bride that is in love with her husband to be from the letters they have written back and forth; although they have not yet met. Addie is not in love with her groom and knows that he doesn’t love her either which may be why when the ladies’ bags get switched she impulsively takes Charlotte’s place. Once Addie is at the ranch with Josh it she must decide if this is her future life and husband. This is a different book than the other books I have read by Amanda and was missing her shocking plot twists. (She always surprises me). I would still recommend Bride of Pretense if you enjoy a good clean fun historical romance.
