Karen Whiting has written several books.  The two that we talk about in the interview are 52 Weekly Devotions for Busy Families and The Gift of Bread.

Karen shares about her background and her very large family; 5 children and 12 grandchildren.  Karen has heard moms say the thing they are glad they did were devotions with their kids.  Or she has heard moms say they wish they would have done devotions with their kids.

I highly recommend the 52 Weekly Devotions for Busy Families.  The book is very intentional for busy families.  It is colorful and full of hands on activities.  No to mention that the activities help the kids remember the lessons in the devotion. In addition,  I recommended this as a fabulous Christmas gift for families.

The second book we talk about is the Gift of Bread.  To clarify it is much more than a recipe book.  Karen’s family has a heritage of sharing meals together.  Even the time of preparing meals together.
