Summary
Reviewer Name: pepper98 Mary, a young girl who was very good at sewing, worked with her father the master tailor at Saltleigh Estate. Mary was working one day when she found out people were plotting to kill Queen Elizabeth. She was hiding, but her father walked in and heard the traitors’ conversation. He came in and tried to kill them, but died in the fight. Mary was so mad at them, but she couldn’t tell anyone because she made a promise to her father. Her life gets more complicated when Walter Raleigh comes and asks her to sew a cloak for him. Raleigh is on his way to Court and wants to show his respect for the Queen with a fine, new cloak. Mary must decide to tell her secret or keep her promise.
